Rules: how Rat Royale works
Instead of fixed lines, Rat Royale uses 259 ways to win: matching symbols only have to land on adjacent reels from the first reel, the row does not matter.
The return to player (RTP) of the standard version is 96.52%. That is an average over a very large number of spins, not a promise for a single session. Casinos may run versions with a lower RTP; the in-game info menu shows the value that applies.
The maximum win is capped at 15,000x your stake. At €1 per spin that would be €15,000; if a bonus reaches the cap, the round ends automatically.
Free spins, features and bonus round
Normal wilds carry up to 100x, while the Rat King lands only on the middle reel and brings up to 500x. Every Rat King triggers one of four modifiers for the current spin: it fills the reel, collects the multipliers of other wilds, increases them, or turns blue symbols into more wilds with multipliers. Three to five scatters start one of three bonus modes, each with ten free spins.
Scatter symbols trigger the free spins. How many scatters you need and how many spins you get is shown in the paytable; in most games of this kind the free spins can be retriggered during the bonus.
Multipliers boost wins in this game many times over. What matters is whether they apply to a single win only or add up during the free spins: that difference is exactly what makes the bonus round so swingy.
Money symbols carry fixed values as multiples of your stake. They only pay out when a collector symbol lands on the grid and picks them up.

Rat Royale with the BlazeBet bonus: wagering and a worked example
At BlazeBet, slots count 100% towards the welcome bonus wagering (100% up to €1,000, 15x wagering, 30 days). Rat Royale is therefore suitable for clearing the bonus.
A worked example with real numbers: with a €100 bonus and 15x wagering on the bonus, you need to wager €1,500. At €1.00 per spin, that is 1,500 spins. With an RTP of 96.52%, the theoretical loss over that stretch is about €52.20. If BlazeBet counts deposit plus bonus, the total wager and the expected loss double.
The medium volatility gives smoother sessions, which makes Rat Royale one of the more comfortable games for clearing a bonus.
Volatility, hit rate and budget
According to published game data, about 24.39% of spins end in a win, so on average every 4.1th spin. Many of those hits are smaller than the stake, though.
As a rough rule of thumb for a game with medium volatility: plan a budget for about 200 spins, which at €0.50 per spin is €100. That gives you a reasonable chance of seeing the bonus round. Set a limit and a time frame beforehand, and do not raise your stake to chase losses.
For players who like wild multipliers that build up visibly. A similar idea with a dog theme is The Big Dog House.
